Wedding Gift Watch

Hello - my fiancee and I are getting married later this year. She wants to give me a watch (~$5,000) as a gift and wanted suggestions. My current collection is a panerai submersible, a black GMT, white ceramic daytona, and a silver dial presidential.

I was thinking something along the lines of a cartier tank solo/american, or even a second hand JLC reverso. I'll be wearing it with my black tux, so a black leather strap might be a good idea, but not sure. I haven't really dove into the world of dress watches, so would love any other suggestions that I should consider in the $4,000-6,000 range.

Thanks in advance!

Plus one for that model. Can't go wrong with Santos. Classic design. Good value. Also, I'd consider Reverso.

The Cartier Santos is such a versatile watch with the quick strap change and the beautiful bracelet. The blue dial is beautiful or go with the classic white.

These are all great suggestions! I've got a smaller wrist (~6.5 in) so I think the IWC is out for me, but Cartier seems like a solid choice, while Reverso seems like a great #2 option.

JLC Reverso, or a master control.

Reverso 1931 black dial is a perfect suit and tie piece, although it may be above budget.

I would highly recommend the Santos Dumont as a dress watch, although you won't go wrong with the Santos (automatic) or the Reversos in medium.

Both great options. No matter what you land on, I'm sure it'll hold a special place in the collection. Congrats!

I would go for Reverso, as it fits well with your collection and they're much nicer that Cartiers, in my opinion. The Reverso was my and my wife's wedding watch.
