I don’t go nuts over it. It’s part of wearing a watch. If you work at a desk, a blotter goes a long way in preventing those clasp scratches from sliding your wrist around. I use a huge calendar from Staples. Not only dose it prevent scratches it makes a great notepad when I have to jot something down.

It’s the same concept as protection film on an exotic car. In my opinion, I enjoy wearing my watches more knowing they are protected... I have 5 completely scatch-free Rolexes!!! Thank you WRIST GUARD PRO!

Honestly, it is avoidable. In all my years of wearing watches, I've never scraped them across tables or desks or computers. It's just not a habit I ever got into, so my watches typically look mint after many years. My wife's watch, on the other hand.. I have no idea what she does with it.

You’re going to get hood chips on your Ferrari. Enjoy the car as it’s meant to be or don’t drive it.

In reality, every exotic car owner puts protection film on their car. It would be unwise and careless not to. With a Rolex luxury watch, yes... you should protect it. It will make the wearing experience much more enjoyable since you can put it down on things without anxiety.

Glad makes you happy.
Won’t convince many of us, specially someone like me that at 60 has many more priorities.
P.T. Barnum had a phrase for this producT.
Good luck protecting a corner/edge/banfer from a ding.

BTW, wraps on cars too are a waste. In the 60’s and 70’s, it was popular to put plastic covers on car seats. Years later, when the plastic was removed, the seats were brand new and the exterior was old and damaged. Looked great. Meantime people stuck their butts sweating on that plastic for years.

My friend just bought a used Aventador that didn't have any PPF or coating, and hadn't been washed properly. Blows my mind how someone can buy something like that and just not care that it gets trashed. The first thing I do when I buy any new car is paint correction, PPF, and ceramic coating. That combined with regular details keep my cars looking new forever. I just like my stuff looking good. I enjoy my cars and don't baby them, but I'm not careless. Same thing applies to watches.

Just an aside, McLaren F1 #036 lives in my town and is one of the few that gets driven regularly. Its front bumper is peppered with rock chips.
It’s one of only 100 left in the world and it’s worth around $20M.

+/- $1M what with the scratches and all. Haha

I suspect the uneven 2 tone sun fading under a clear bra is a value killer in its own right.

Remember James Bond wore his Rolex through thick and thin and without scotch tape on the clasp.

You can go to a jeweler or watchmaker, for example, to polish it when you are not satisfied with the appearance.

The serious response is that your objective is not reasonably achieved without leaving it in a box.

I think you are referring to the “clasp”, which will indeed get rub marks, which will easily be removed by RSC every service interval.
