2 completely different movements with very different materials used in constructing the components....

The omega’s entire movement is entirely anti-magnetic and doesn’t need a faraday cage. Hence a date window would not affect the anti-magnetic properties. (https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/th...-a-closer-look)

The Milgauss 3131 may have an amagnetic parachrom hairspring but the rest of the components in the movement aren’t amagnetic. Hence the use of a soft iron faraday cage to protect the movement from magnetic fields.

A hole in the faraday cage defeats the purpose, so yes still no date window.
