DJ41 finally plentiful?

Dropped at an ad in Montreal Canada and was surprised to see so much choice in Rolex date just 41 categories. Pretty much all combinations were there : blue dial non fluted on jubilee, 3 silver dials, one dark grey and a black one if not mistaken. All Oyster perpetual models were available too. A month and more ago you could not find a DJ41 there.
Things are finally settling it seems. It had gone too far anyway, with some reporting that ads did not take orders anymore on the DJ that was ridiculous... Still no sign of SS models though, might need to wait a tad more for that!
Are you guys noticing the same thing?

The SS DJ41 are allocation pieces so one cannot order them. I suspect Rolex ramps up production/deliveries For the upcoming Christmas season and the watches are starting to hit ADs now.

But.......... who knows for sure

My AD has 2 TT Subs, bluesey and black. He is not taking orders for DJ 41 and SS Sub. He says, he will let me know if he gets any SS Sub or DJ 41. Waiting continues....

Plenty of TT DJs in ADs here, not so for SS.

They can’t take orders on the SS DJ41 or Sub since they are allocation pieces. You can only go on “the list.” The SS DJ41 became an allocation piece in June 2019.

As of this past Friday one of the local AD's near me just got a SS DJ41 stick dial and a roman, one had a smooth bezel the other fluted. They also has some PM, two tones of various models.

I walked into a new AD and in display was a DJ 41 , blue dial, on jubilee and fluted. I know it’s popular but just wasn’t for me. I didn’t imagine they were difficult to find since it was openly in the display case

If you don’t mind me asking, Jerome...

Of the 16 waiting, which dial is the most requested? And approximately how long would one have to wait for that most requested?

Thank you!

From what I'm seeing there are 0 SS DJ's in cases in the larger metropolitan areas and AD's are not taking orders as well. But when you travel to less rural areas, I've seen a few stores with 1-2 SS models in the case and talked with several AD's that had them hidden in the back. Normally takes a little sweet-talking to get them to admit they have one.

If a DJ 41 is what you are truly after just visit a smaller AD and ask for it. Don't mention anything about a sport model. Simply tell them that this is the next one you want to obtain and its frustrating that you can't even find a watch that only a year ago was being discounted. You may not get it that day but give it a week or so and I bet they pop up.

This is my experience at least.

Have a silver/smooth /jubilee and blue/fluted/jubilee .

Had the silver/smooth/jubilee next to a plat DD40 with ice blue dial at an AD,even the sales people were surprised how well the DJ41 presented against the Plat DD40.

Haha, I walked past my Rolex AD and the nearby Omega boutique the other night, all the display cases were empty in both shops, mind you it was 11pm at night and we had just come out of the cinema.

DJ here in Vegas are somewhat readily available... I might be a player for a Jubilee white face in steel, at a discount.

I tried on a DJ41 fluted dial jubilee next to a WG DD40 blue dial. I actually liked the blue color dial of the DJ41 better than the blue color dial of the DD40.

Obviously the WG Rolex had a nicer heft and a certain gravitas about it that can't be denied, however, the DJ41 at a third of the price is a real stunner.

The DJ is way underrated around here. It’s what makes the Rolex world go around for them.

I had a DJII White dial that I loved, it was stolen, hopefully someday it will go to RSC for a service and I will get it back, but it was a great watch, I recently replaced it with a white dial Milgauss.
