Need advice on a trade

Hey Guys!

I’ll get straight to the point I have a 116503 two tone champagne dial Daytona and 118138 36 mm day date with cognac dial (discontinued). I’m trading these for a white gold Daytona on oysterflex. Trade off I guess is I get a harder to get piece that can handle everyday use. Downside is I’m probably losing on this trade.
Do you guys think this is fair or should I be looking to get some money back from this trade?

Feels like a reasonable deal to me. Sure, you could do better if you sold the watches privately, but for an exchange deal, it feels ok.

I adore my 116519 LN so I fully endorse your decision!

This is a two for one deal I would not do. I might do it for a PM on a bracelet.

Yeah, IMO I could live with letting these two go for the Oysterflex Daytona.

Not a big fan of a 2 for 1 trade, but neither of your references do it for me. I also love my 519! In this case, I'd do it - I think it's pretty fair for a trade.

The DD is prob worth retail $14k ish and the Daytona $12k ish retail. So is someone is willing to do a WG Oysterflex for those two I would definitely take the deal. Seems like you are getting the upper hand in that deal and don't have to deal with the aggravation of selling your watches.

I would do that deal immediately even if additional cash was required.

I would caveat that by saying I am not a fan of either of these 2 watches, but love the WG Daytona on Oysterflex.

Very fair trade.........quite frankly, a no-brainer. Those TT Daytonas have a hard time selling above $10K and DDs on straps aren't high on most people's list. This idea of not trading 2 watches for 1, even if the deal works in your favor, is really mind-boggling.

If you are getting this and don't need to put in any cash, then it seems like a great deal, assuming it is a watch in good order, box papers and everything you are looking for. The watch is a great update of your collection. Otherwise what are the other options? Try to sell two watches?

Your giving up two to get one of the same back. Something doesn't add up for me.

the oyser-flex takes a little getting used to if you are partial to solid bracelet however, I see you have the 36mm with a strap, so I think you will be fine.

What are you still doing here...?

Seems like a fair trade based on value. So it just depends on what you want? The 2 you have or the 1 you don't.
