Incoming... Warning: Tudor content

I've had my eye on the Tudor Pelagos and Black Bay for a while. I finally decided that the LHD looks the most interesting. Having already owned the THC I find that the Pelagos is a significant improvement over that. It seems more refined and you can see the Rolex DNA in how it looks and feels in the hand.

I owned a cheap titanium watch about 20 years ago and so was initially put off, but this seems pretty solid and I'm sure it will stand the test of time. I found the rubber strap included wears better than the bracelet, not sure if that's to do with the lighter weight of the piece, but titanium 44m on a rubber strap just feels really steady on the wrist. Besides, if it's heft that you're after, PM is the way to go. Titanium seems a good choice.

All the markers and hands have a really nice detailed fabric-like texture to them and they stand out in very sharp contrast. Bezel markers also light up in the lume. Bezel rotation feels really solid. Not as fine as a Sub, but sturdy and I doubt it would ever get knocked out of position accidentally with the way the grip has been designed.

All in all, it's a great example of function-over-everything-else. Awesome tool watch.

Congrats, Richard!! The Pelagos, like many Tudor references, represents a great value. Lots of great features on this beauty.

I LOVE my blue Pelagos. Congrats on your LHD.

I might have to try the blue strap. I CANNOT get the bracelet to fit me properly, even with all those adjustments. Full links and first notch on the clasp, it's quite loose. One link out and on the 3rd or 4th notch, it's OK sometimes, but generally too tight.

Anyhow, congrats!

Customary lume shot as requested. Yup, that works.

Even though I found the bracelet to be very well made, there was something a little odd about it. Could be that it was too light in weight, or perhaps the extension link needed taking out, but I couldn't see how that can be done. Anyway, so happy with the rubber strap, I'll stick with that.

Love, love, love the Pelagos.

Would definitely be my next watch, but alas it is too big for me.

40mm is my limit due to small wrists.
