Anyone use a leather or rubber strap on a MODERN Datejust 36?

Hi all,

i have 2 126234s, one in blue and one in black, jubilee and fluted. I know some of the vintage pieces look great with leather straps, but wanted to hear some thoughts on putting a leather or rubber strap on a modern DJ. If you do, share some pictures for inspiration and if it's a dumb idea, also open as to why/why not?

Thanks!

Datejust on leather or alligator is a classy move. Datejust on rubber doesn't really make sense to me.

Black DJ will look great with black leather or alligator. Keep the blue one on jubilee.

If not on the bracelet, I’ve always really liked lizard skin. 70’s class.

Have a look at the most recent pages in "watch collection in one photo only" thread, there is one current DJ 36 on leather. This watch has the perfect looks, wears superb with either bracelet or strap.
