16610 tritium does not glow under UV light

Hello, I've a 16610 (from 1993) tritium dial which does not glow under UV light. But my 1601 from 1976 still glows under UV. Is there any cause for concern or is this normal? Thanks!

"One of the reasons some vintage pieces will still exibit some luminosity after many years is the excitment of the phosphors in reaction to an outside source." - interesting indeed!
