Acronyms

I have recently started viewing the Rolex posts and For Sale ads. Everything is loaded with acronyms. The place where this is most annoying is in the For Sale section. The sellers always state the age as 85xxxxxx or D or Z. That's fine in the title but how about adding 2005, 1998, etc. in the body of the ad? I have to keep going back and searching for the post with the serial number list. Also, I still haven't figured out what an LV model is. One selling simply put "ttt" in one of his posts? What does "bump" mean, price drop?

Okay, the serial number issue, good point. HEre are what the others mean.
LV is the Submariner LV (or green bezeled SS Sub Date).
TTT - To The Top. This is used so when you hit the new posts, or go to that sub forum, the post will be closer to the top.
Bump, is the same as TTT.

LV= Lunette Verde, the 50th Anniversary Sub with the green bezel.

"Bump" is when a seller wants to bump up his post to the top once again for all to see.

"TTT" ? That's a new one to me as well!!

The 'Bump' and 'To The Top' have been explained to you, here's something that may assist in serial number 'mystery'

http://www.preownedrolex.com/images/...eyourrolex.htm

Just a quick reference guide. Hope this helps, and don't forget to RTFT!!!

JJ: "Ouick Draw..." - Remembering McGraw is dating us. If I recall (back that far) it was a cartoon character. Must have had worldwide universal appeal. Oh, the good old days, young and not a care in the World!!
