First Panerai Buy - Recommendations on Where to Buy?

Hi, looking to buy my first one. Have my eye on the 1351. I don’t live anywhere near an AD or boutique. Looking for recommendations based on experience. Travel all over the country for work, so getting to a city with an AD or boutique isn’t a problem. Thanks

I would look at DavidSW, a Trusted Seller and great place to start. I would buy pre-owned as most Panerai watches take a significant hit when they are new. I believe he has 1351 on his site for a real good price. As far as the strap game goes look on Ebay for OEM straps and Ammo straps from the top makers. Panerai is a fun watch as long as you understand what the brand is and don't expect it to be Rolex or PP for value retention. Good luck and post some pictures when you get your watch.

Welcome to the forum and good luck in finding your Panerai.

As William suggests, trusted sellers here will be more price competitive than ADs.

Since you travel quite a bit for work, I’d still visit some AD’s. I always especially enjoy the Panerai boutiques

I would go to an AD or boutique and try on as many as you can. Get an idea how the 44mm wears to the 47mm, what style looks the best on you and what dial structure you like. Then hit a trusted seller and see what they have or ask what they can possibly procure for you. Enjoy the journey and let us know what you get!

Thanks for all the feedback. Bought a 1351 late last week from DavidSW. Great seller and love the watch!

Nice pick. Now all you have to do is get some nice straps and have fun with them.
