This.
Omega has been putting out WAY too many limited edition watches. To me, this both cheapens the brand, and makes me want to look elsewhere even more. But - at least you can buy most any omega new from an AD unlike other brands. |

I can understand your point of view if secondary value means a lot to you. But this Bond, for example, if you like it and want to wear it then what does it matter how many LE versions are released? I hear this complaint about Omega quite often, but for me it doesn’t matter if a watch is a special edition, numbered edition, or limited edition.

Watch is nice but I just wish Omega would stop with all these limited editions On it's own merits the Seamaster Pro 300M Diver is an outstanding watch.

Are they really releasing that many Limited Editions? I believe editions to commemorate partnerships they are involved in are ok - it's not like they are becoming Hublot.

a sub is not limited, it is made year in and year out. a LE of 7,007 might not be that limited based on the number. however, it IS a limited run. they are doing these once. and when they are gone, they are gone. interesting. food for thought.

I saw it this weekend at the OB. It looks nice in person. There's a whole dimension to it that isn't captured in static photos, because even very minuscule movements make the sunburst dial come alive. The sunburst moves and radiates in multiple directions like spokes on a wheel. Neat effect. Doesn't detract from the telling of the time.
There was only one in the OB, and it had already been bought, so I couldn't try it on. The buyer had requested the bracelet be put on (it comes with both the bracelet and rubber). It looks nice with the bracelet. I won't be buying one, but I know the owner of the one I saw will be thrilled. I held one, and good lord, it must weigh 8 pounds. |

Does absolutely nothing for me. Those gold hands look out of place in a steel watch. And Omega cheapens their brand with their endless "Special Editions".
I'm happy with my old, original Bond watch.

I would be happy too. That's a great watch! I'll get one when the right one comes along.

I think the color scheme is supposed to make it reminiscent of the original James Bond 6538 Submariner, without being to obvious.
Thus the gold hands and hour markers. And a hint of red. |

Not keen on that spiral dial at all, but maybe it appeals to some spy wannabes.
I hope the film is better! |

My local ad called yesterday saying they had one come in. I'm on the fence since I was waiting to see what the snoopy will look like. I don't have an smp in the collection and I find the bond le to be very nice looking. I like the 9mm gun rifling dial, which to me is no more distracting than the std wave dial. I also like the yellow gold accents and black combo as well. They are sold out on Omegas website. Appears these are still selling for above retail where I can find them (chrono 24), so im guessing getting an ad discount won't be possible but worth asking since it may get me to pull the trigger....pun intended. Lol. Also looking at a tudor s&g chrono (at least 20% discount) on leather strap that I would replace with black rubber, but may be too similar to daytona pn dial I plan to buy later?
