I’d never wear a watch in the laundry room. Actually, I’ve banged an omega diver around many times on the drying rack. Can’t dry lulu hahahahahah

I don't argue anymore. Because in 1 week I will have forgotten and she will remember FOR LIFE. Learned that after the first decade of marriage when I realized that each fight lasted longer because there were more "events" to remember.

I'd trade up to a 5270 immediately if they were 50k and not well above 100k :(

The “green” kind, not sure of the difference though.

Mis-pairing is better than a lost sock. Really not sure how that happens anywhere other than a laundromat (harkening back to my college days).

I only ask because I hate fabric softener. It makes my underwear droop. l...had to buy new ones. Every month.

I started a thread on it on the open discussions that ran multiple pages.

Droopy underwear? This already sounds like a messy thread.

Are the 5980r and 5712r considered dress watches?

Saw a few of these at Patek handling event, but seldom at black tie. At the recent gala, did not see a single Nautilus on strap or bracelet. Saw a few celestial, minute repeaters and SSPC. Most are wearing complications or PC on straps. Very classy.

Rocking a refined, distinctive and elegant watch while dressed casually always drips cool. And the people around you will know it. They may not know what it is, but they'll know it's something.

It projects style and taste, yet a laid-back attitude that exudes confidence.

Back in the day it was about wearing a daring (yet styling) tie on a power suit. These days a watch can serve that same purpose.

You don't need a stainless sports watch to be cool - you need a cool watch to be cool. Elegant, sophisticated watches are by definition cool. And they're always in style.

And remember, it's not just what you wear, it's also how you wear it.

So basically you gotta be cool and also wear a cool watch. Like this?

I wouldn't mind a 5270P to put on gray, navy, or brown alligator for a somewhat casual dress watch but it's worth half of MSRP to me new so I don't see one in my future.

Yes - Camille Fournet, Hodinkee straps, anything as long as it's good quality and matches well...

I thought 3rd party straps are common practice to do? Patek don’t supply a orange gator but the quality is the same and somewhat better as i have a rubberized calf on the underside so it should last longer/no smell
