TT GMT owners: Question on the GMT 16713 (black/gold) and 116713
Hi all,
I just acquired a 16713 recently and was thinking about "upgrading " to the ceramic 116713, however, I just noticed recently that the dial of the ceramic version does not have gold in it, either in the lettering or the indices, unlike the 16713. One of the reasons why I like the 16713 is precisely because of the "gold" additions on the dial. On the ceramic, I find the white lettering and indices a bit inconsistent with the overall look. Perhaps I'm just used to the older design? Any thoughts would be much appreciated. |

Out of all my watches my GMT TTc is a favourite.
I haven't noticed anything 'missing' on my 116713 dial Clarence. Nice pix of the 16713. Perfect.

Simple then buy the older model. I don't mind the gmt2c dial personally.

Looks like I was mistaken about the markers...they are fashioned from gold after all...

Keep the 16713. If you want some extra color, I think it looks great with an aftermarket green bezel and bond nato!

Keep the older model, better geometry without thicker lugs of the new ceramic models.

I would still get the ceramic but I also prefer the gold lettering such as on the YG Blue Subc, it just all flows better.

Give the 116713LN a try on your wrist. For me it's perfect and I prefer it over the 16713

I find the gmt2c dial a bit cleaner without the extra yellow gold.
