RSC Toronto or Damiani for service?

Hi all,

Its been several years since I've been active on this forum, but hoping for some advice. I bought my dad an Explorer I 214270 back in 2015. He just called me and mentioned that it starts and stops quite a bit and has been doing this for about a week. He also mentioned it did this a few years back but just started working fine (until now). The watch never leaves his wrist, so it hasn't been sitting for any length of time.

I think its time we had it serviced. I bought the watch at Damiani jewelers who from what I can tell have a decent reputation for repairing Rolex watches on-site. Anyone else had experience with them or should I just drive the watch down to the Rolex Service Centre downtown Toronto? Would there be much of a price difference?

Thanks.

You can take it into Damiani (or call them) and ask for a quote on a full service as they are an authorized Service Center. I'm sure the pricing will be in line with what Rolex will charge.

They might be able to turn the watch around more quicker than RSC, never know.
