White Daytona is here!
Hey TRF family,

Got my watch yesterday! Couldn't wait to get home, so took a few snaps in the car for a little unboxing eye candy

Haven't removed the stickers yet, but sized the bracelet to get a proper feel of the watch on the wrist... and it feels great!

I thought about selling my 116520 after this one, but they somehow feel quite different, as if the 116520 was a lot more formal, dressy, elegant, while the 500 feels like a purebred full fledged sports watch.

Agree with your assessment as I wouldn't get rid of my 116520s for the 116500. I picked white as well, I think it's an amazing piece from Rolex for sure....but the fad/hype is definitely far beyond what the offer is IRL. Enjoy in good health.

Big congratulations! I have moved my preference toward white from black so I will wait patiently like the millions of us out there who think the Daytona C is THE watch of the year and the one to get. enjoy it!

I agree that there is an almost (?) artificial aura around this one, but that has been the case with the daytona for decades now. Hype aside, it's fantastic for what it is

I got on the list (with a healthy deposit) early, so only waited about a month. Regardless, lines here are much smaller than in the US, I think the word for who gets in line today is May/17.
