I asked for one but didn’t have a chance. It’s a gorgeous watch.

My AD offered one to me last month with a 400k bundle. I rejected it. Haha if I knew 5711 geeen alone now is 400k, I would not hesitate to take the piece back then.

How did you even get the opportunity to see them? What's your spend history with them? Just curious

At that price they should not have errors on the listing, either that or the seller has no clue. :chuckle

Just confirmed with numeral sources across regions. Actual selling price is $290,000. So anything beyond $300k is gibberish and this is way overpriced already.

5x msrp doesn’t matter to the person with over a billion with millions more every day. In fact, it’s a waste to let the money sit idle.

Uhm, no.

Trust me, we will disagree with you here.

Rich people don't stay rich by being idiots with their money.

My so-called "idle money" is earning me more long term than a bubble-icious watch at 5x MSRP.

I think the last half of that statement was the problem. But people who are making millions every day do not care to spend 300k on a watch even if it's 3x over if they really want it.

It's like spending 300 dollars for normal people. Plus this has the added benefits of being a relatively safe investment if they ever want to get out of it. So they aren't really being stupid with their money if they buy this at 300k.

If this is true please explain why so many really wealthy people own yachts and airplanes and tons of other stuff that they don't make money on. Not every billionaire lives in a modest home in Omaha, Nebraska.
Many rich folks made their money on one terrific idea and aren't particularly financially savvy, which explains why they invest some of their money in hedge funds. And even the hedge fund guys own yachts and airplanes.

If I was Patek, I would buy that on the open market in order to ban the customer and the AD.

Oh, and I know for a fact that Patek does do that.

I heard for another 50k the diamonds can light up and rotate in different colors so everyone will be sure to see that you grossly overpaid (for something at some point).

Nice pieces! Really impossible to get this year, I heard someone at one of trade shows paid around 750 for the baguette version

Congrats. I do think it's a great watch and nice farewell to the 5711. Amazing shade of olive green. Waiting to see what follows to succeed the 5711.
