I picked up my white 5711 from an AD back in 2012. I was also offered a blue dial at the same time, but went with the white because I felt the watch suited my lifestyle better. I think the white dial 5711 is the sporty and more casual of the two dials.

I too went for white over blue. It has to be seen to be appreciated and looks fantastic dressed up or dressed down.

Congrats on the repurchase.

I also went for white over blue. Clean and ever so slightly more versatile. Also the white dial is surprisingly creamy rather than a stark white in person which makes it feel a little more luxurious than utilitarian.
