5270P- very much Patek

got it today and it is phenomenal (i have the picture on my PC but dont know how to upload it here). very much Patek. regardless of future value, i decided to get this watch to be a long term generations watch. will give more feedback in next days, but so far, i am very impressed.

anyone can guide me how to upload a picture here into a thread from my PC. it is asking for a URL... not sure how to get a URL here.

Classic Patek. A beautiful manual winding perpetual calendar which should encourage you to wear it at least every other day!

there's manage attachments if you scroll down. if you do quick reply is where it asks for a url but there's the manage attachment if you do regular reply up top to the left. you do have to use a resizer program since there are limitations to the photo size.

love the 5270p. i like the sportiness with the arabics

Awesome pick up!! Definitely every detail depicts Patek at it’s best and will retain value going forward when passed through future generations. Once this reference is discontinued…it’s true value may finally be revealed!

Anyone know what this actually sells for used/aftermarket? I see them offered from 165-185k but I’ve been wondering if that is just the offer or if they actually trade there. Is it possible to buy one from an AD and actually accrue some purchase history for other Pateks?

I've seen them sell for high 160s with b/p, bit more bnib. There is some demand but not to the extent of the sport models, perhaps when more of us need to wear suits in the future demand will increase. Depends on your AD but shouldn't be that difficult to procure and should help with access to a sport model. If you are in LA, I still think it will be a long shot given the extensive purchase history of many VIPs here. Retail is 205k plus sales tax here nets you $225k, which is $60k more than grey and IMO not worth it.

What a beautiful piece. A future classic reference for sure especially once discontinued. That salmon dial makes it even more beautiful. Congratulations sir :-)
