Sorry if this is silly but I couldn't find any recent posts about this. Is there any chance of being allocated this model from a boutique with zero purchase history? Willing wait until mid 2024 - early 2025.

The chances are slim, but you have nothing to lose by trying.

The whole thing is ridiculous now. If you have no purchase history, your only likely chance is to find an AD willing to bundle with a Complication or something (maybe one of the less popular Calatravas). If you "get on a list" and they tell you it'll be 2025, it's more likely never. The list is fungible. And many just don't want to tell you "No" since it's a bad experience, and maybe if they tell you No, you'll write them off and won't consider buying anything else from them. But, if they keep you on a long, long leash, maybe something else will fancy you. |

Only chance of you getting it it 2024-2025 is if the market price crashes to below retail. Ask yourself if you would still want to buy it for retail by then.

Even if you have a good purchase history you will never get one because there is always someone bigger.

As long as you love the 15500st as well I guess.
I just see the 5167 on bracelet and 15500st as completely different watches. ¨ The 15500 wears much much bigger and it can't really be used when swimming as it is only 50m WR. So maybe you are just after a higher end steel sports watch than a 5167? But if you are really after a 5167, then just trying to get a consolation prize of 15500, wont really scratch the same itch. The chances unfortunately of getting one from an AD now days is so slim, which is a real shame, However, try your luck and perhaps with saying that you are willing to wait 3 to 4 years might help. They will also want you to buy some other items during the wait though I guess.

Honestly don’t waste your time rather go with other brand/models (seiko, omega, etc) or pay the premium with grey. Life is too short.

Sure, it's possible.

If you are willing to start spending large sum of money on other non-sports Patek models. It is possible. Have an open discussion with the AD and see if this route will work. Even with purchases, most likely there will still be a wait since everyone on their list is most likely someone who’s been making large purchases already. And it is possible that some smaller AD at a less competitive market may indeed put you down on a real waitlist but you will need to search around. At the current market condition, it will to hard to find one. |

These days, unless you're a Grey Market dealer, it's rarely possible to get anything you want.
The watch industry seems to exist to fuel the GM dealers, and VVIPs. (And yes, some of us here are VIPs, but not necessarily VVIPs - I'm not Mark Wahlberg, and we don't necessarily think this is healthy.) |

Sad but true. Never going to happen. Honestly it’s better to not even waste the effort and disappointment.

What GreenLantern meant was that GM dealers bundle the hell out of the AD’s stock to get the Daytonas, Nautilus, Aquanauts etc The ADs are in cahoots with the GM. That is a fact. They help move all the slow moving stocks like the Pearl Master and the diamond studded Datejust. What is also prevalent is that certain high ranking management team of ADs receive kickbacks from owners of GM dealership to allocate them the in demand watches. |
