Incoming! First Breitling!

And my first gold watch as well. I love it. Purchased new from AD (although at a steep discount as it is the old navitimer 8 model, not the new aviator 8 model.) the fit and finish is exceptional. I wish I could see more of the chronograph part of the movement, but I appreciate that it is an auto winder as well. Fits my wrist great (7 inches)

It looks great in gold, and I think I'd prefer the Navitimer 8 over the Aviator 8 if the only difference is the name. I suspect the Navitimer 8 will be more scarce and perhaps more desirable in the future.

Beauty, and you are right about the large and dull rotor, chrono movements are often stunning and should be showcased.

Looks fantastic!

You know, I got my son a Superocean 42mm (Orange dial) for X-mas --- and I'm hooked on Breitling. Really opened up my eyes to the brand and can't get enough of them.

Such a great watch! Enjoy,

They definitely do. Breitling really took their time to get it all right on this one.

Quite possibly. The Navi 8 RG is numbered, and I don’t think there are all that many that were made. So low numbers certainly make for a compelling individuality to them

Such a great watch! Enjoy,

The super oceans are a lot of fun. I had not really looked at the brand until I was at a store and tried them on. Totally different perspective on them once on the wrist. They suddenly made a lot of sense and you could see how each line really has its purpose and place

Indeed. Thankfully they made half of it out of gold!

Congrats! I'm not a chrono guy, but that is a sharp looking watch! Is it heavy like a gold watch or does that clear case back keep it light?

Well, it isn’t light. But it’s not too bad. With the leather strap it it a good wrist weight.
