Quick Trip to Monterey
I have lived in the west almost my entire life, but had never seen the iconic Bixby Bridge nor the Elephant Seals on the beach further south near Piedras Blancas. Hwy 1 has a few construction projects, but it was a nice ride.

Ahh, what memories. I can stop time in my mind and relive bit by bit events which shaped my life.
Flying across country, then driving a friend to a job interview in that area. Driving back through the desert, getting the call somewhere near Palm Springs that she got the job. November 2002 |
