Beverly Hills boutique temporarily closed?

Anyone know why the BH boutique is "temporarily closed" according to google? Tried calling and shooting my SA a text but got nothing back so i was going to go in but saw its closed.

I can hazard a guess that it has something to do with covid and staffing.

Frankfurt boutique was also closed for a while last November. I figured it was either pandemic related, or they decided, why bother, we don't have anything to sell in any case.

It is because AP Corporate bought the AP stores from Westime. AP Corporate is spending this month to remodel the BH store, will be open next month. Ebony, Kim and Ari are all staying on.

was suppose to be “listed” for a 15450 and 77359 all the way back to 2017/2018, whichever came first and i kept in touch every couple of months and when i first inquired these watches weren’t even as insane as it is now because it seemed like no one wanted the 34mm and i requested a grey dial for the 37mm not the blue

so early last year i said f’ it and called the NY boutique to inquire and i told them what happened with the BH boutique because they didnt want to take me in as a client if I already had someone as my SA from another boutique (also because i am in LA) but after they tried to look up my info, it turned out Ari never even entered my info in their database so SJ gladly took me in and even told him i’d fly to NY to pick up the watch sans covid

but now i am on their system and and i know for sure because when i visited the new boutique that opened a couple of months ago at south coast plaza, the SA i spoke to saw the watches i inquired about in their system and i guess the NY boutique SA also noted on the system that i had a bad experience with the BH boutique because they read it to me before i even got tell them what happened

i also hae friends who had a bad experience with Ari especially regarding bundling and other BS

all i know is i likely have a 15450 by now if i went with someone else other than Ari so even if AP takes over the boutique, id probably still wont bother with them despite them being the closest to me

I can second another horrible experience with Ari. NY is way better to deal with. I haven't had bad experiences with Bal Harbour either.

You guys should try to give Ari another shot, everyone has an off day, he has always been excellent with me even though Ebony is my SA. As a FYI and my understanding, Ari will now be the store manager.

I agree. Ari is my guy and I've had nothing but good experiences with him.

The thing is under Westime, they had different rules vs an AP boutique, and the allocation numbers are only going to go up now they are Corporate only.

nah, thats a ~4 years of bad experience where when i would call he always rushes me off the phone and its unforgivable to not even put my info in the AP system

im sure he has clients that he treats like kings and queens but he also showed his true colors when you ignore possible clients because they aren’t willing to buy a couple of APROO just to get that one watch you want down the line

How many non-Boutique AP ADs are there in the US now? Material Good and Zadok?

AP Miami? Or AP Bal Harbour (also in Miami)? That one has been 100% Corporate owned from the start.

ADs are all but extinct. Looks like Material Good (NYC) and Venetzia (Las Vegas) and that’s it for the US.

Westime owned the AP BH, Vegas and Miami (not bal harbour) stores. This is why you are seeing the transition as AP corporate bought all of them from Westime. They still own other branded stores in these locations such as RM.

They don't have an AP area in the Walnut/Rowland heights location anymore but I believe they are still carrying AP at the San Gabriel store. They are known by AP to be able to sell $500k to $1M fully iced Milllenary to Asian clients so they retain their AD status....for now. Allegedly they sell more ladies Millenaries than the rest of the world combine.

The main problem, as far as I'm told, is that the entire Milllenary has ceased production as of Q3 2021.

i was talking about the San Gabriel store, my friend told me about a month ago that they’ve havent received much APs anymore and it does look like they removed AP from their brands list on their website so they might have lost their AD status already

the AP website also only lists the BH and South Coast Plaza as AD nearby (LA area)
