I live in Poland and I support Lech Poznań. And I bought these glasses because of the light frames and the blood-red color of the lenses. ;)

I also sail and my eyes are really sensitive. I like Serengetti for driving and general use walking around. For water, snow, and bright conditions I always use Revo. I have a nice pair of Revo aviators that work awesome and I like their polarized lenses. I've worn Revo for over 25 years.

Since I bought my first pair of Maui Jim sunglasses while in Maui in early 1995, I have only worn Maui Jim sunglasses. I have 6 or 7 pair at the moment. My favorite is the Stillwater, in the Antique Pewter frame with Neutral Grey (super-thin glass) lenses. They fold up

I wear Oakley, Revo and I keep a pair of Maui Jim's in the tank bag of my motorcycle.

I too fall into the category of having too many sunglasses; it may be an addiction. I own all the usual: Oakley, Costa, Ray Ban, Arnette...and the little less known liquid eyewear.

For those of you who spend a lot of time boating, I started wearing the Oakley Clifden last summer and it is hands down the best glasses I've ever worn on the water. Granted, not a style you would probably want to wear all the time, lol. The Prizm Snow Black Iridium lenses allow only 5% light transmission, it's Oakley darkest lens. The only drawback is they are literally too dark to wear anytime except full sunlight. I have to keep a second pair of something lighter on my boat for later afternoon. I plan to add a second pair of Clifdens this summer, probably Snow Torch lenses for lower light times.

I've tried a lot of different brands and prefer Maui Jim for lens clarity and quality. I have many styles but mostly wear Southern Cross and World Cup.

Expensive ones. Whichever pair will allow me to flex and let others know that I’m “the business.” Practicality is for the peasants.

I’ve had a pair of Maui Jim On Shores with gray lenses for several years. They’re very comfortable and I enjoy wearing them. I bought a second pair with bronze lenses a couple of years ago. I wear the bronze more as I like the contrast better.

Expensive but worth every penny for me. If you need prescription like I do make sure you insist on getting the MJ lens as some optometrists will swap for generic which defeats the purpose
I thought, perhaps incorrectly, that if you sell Maui Jim you were required to have MJ do the lenses. I also wear prescription Maui’s and have for the past 15 years. I’ve purchased them from various optical shops and they’ve always been sent to MJ to be fitted with the lenses. What’s amazing to me if that I usually get them in about 2 days from placing the order. Founded in Hawaii, MJ is now based in Peoria Illinois.

Well then you"ll probably want Cartier. Funny thing is I've never had anyone come up to me and tell me they recognized that I was wearing Cartier. Not really any difference than wearing my Rolex or even my Patek. Most think I'm wearing just a watch and just another pair of sunglasses.

I guess I should have approached this as you may have and kept the price tags on them and maybe that would have gotten your desired result.

Hate to burst your bubble and expand on your perspective but there are many different reasons and perspectives that simply don't match your way of thinking.

One being some people just tend to like nicer things and find some benefit from it and are willing to pay for it. It has nothing to do with flexing even if they find them more attractive.

Grow up.

I like the lenses in my Maui Jim’s but I prefer the styling of my Ray Ban Wayfarers

I wish they collaborate like Omega and Swatch

Stick with Costa. I have 5 pair. Also own several Oakley, Maui Jim, Revo, which are all great, but IMO Costa beats them all.

Oakley Square Wire 2.0 with spring hinge and Oakley Black Iridium prescription lenses.

Have had them for a decade and on my third frame currently. Love them for flying and cycling.

I have a pair of Maui Jim that I have worn since 2017 and am very happy with and recently got a pair from Mont Blanc that seem good so far.

I have been wearing Oakley polarized half jackets for about ten years.

Having light eyes I am photophobic and I am blinded when the sun is out.

Oakleys are dark enough and the wrap around shape filters the majority of the light out on all sides.

Surprised no one else wears Oliver Peoples? That is the majority of what I wear, well made, different materials and a nice aesthetic. Also like Garrett Leight. The pair at the very top is my favorite, a small parisian handmade company.

OP is what naturally lead me to GL. Can’t go wrong either way. Obviously OP is now a luxotica product but it’s not like GL are made better anyways.

For those who don’t know Garrett Leight is the founder of Oliver peoples son.

I like GL because if I lose a pair I’m out 3-400 instead of 7-800 it costs for stuff made in Japan or Germany lol

Bausch and Lomb era Ray Bans are the only sunglasses I collect anymore, although I lose them doing stupid stuff frequently(less so now that I no longer drink or have jet skis).

I have plenty of modern Luxottica made glasses though

Over the years, Maui Jim's were my go to. Kept a pair in every car. Eventually went to Ray Bans but their lens coatings krinkled & peeled the first year. Switched to glass lens Costas and absolutely love them.

Ray-Ban coating, "crinkled and peeling"?
Do you have photo's that show this?

I've been wearing RB's for 55 years, and have never seen that problem.
"switched to glass lenses"??
Are you sure your glasses were genuine?
