Which Tudor? Chrono or Root Beer

So within a matter of days I have been offered both a panda dial Tudor Chrono and then today I get a message offering me the Root Beer on the bracelet.

I have to pick one, because I doubt the boss is going to sign off on me buying both, particularly as I am expecting the imminent arrival of a new Rolex piece in the not too distant future.

Soooooo...which one?

I have the panda, and am looking at adding the Rootbeer. But if I had to choose, panda 100% of the time. It is beautiful!

Chrono. I’m not a fan of the 2 tone…the gold colour is just a little off….not rose enough

I'd vote for the Chrono as well. The new ones (including the panda dial) are just terrific watches. The Breitling B01 is a great calibre to begin with, and Tudor's upgrades make it that much better still.

Reverse panda chrono is the stunner of the bunch, IMHO.

I'm not a fan of the white panda because of legibility concerns. Go with the root beer and add the leather strap

Another vote for Chrono.

I like the chrono but don't like the snow flake hand on a chrono.

I'm going to be contrarian and say root beer.

But, a lot of it depends on what's already in your collection and what kind of a spot you're trying to fill.

For me, I have the root beer (bought it this weekend) and I also have a Zenith Chronomaster Sport, so, for me to buy the Tudor panda would be somewhat duplicating what's in my collection.

First, I love the retro / vintage feel and vibe of the root beer. Plus, with an in-house Tudor movement, you have a watch that IS Tudor.

RootBeer has that neo vintage vibe and in-house movement.
The snowflake hand covering the subdial(s) on the chrono is ludacris.

If I was to go chrono, I'd probably prefer black.
And if I was to go root beer, I'd probably prefer BB58 bronze.

Thanks all for sharing your thoughts.

And as I expected the Chrono appears to be the more popular option because I guess it is a bit more “conventional”

The only thing that makes me lean towards the Root Beer, was that I bought the Pepsi GMT recently and absolutely adore it, I literally have worn nothing else for a month since I got it.

And the Root Beer seems to have a similar vibe, with the classic vibes of the similar to the black BB58

Isn’t there a S&G chrono as a natural compromise?

I owned both Panda and Reverse Panda for a few months. Pretty watches, but sold them because they were hard for me to read the time. I own both the Tudor Pepsi and just bought the Rootbeer. Loving both GMT's and no regrets on selling the Panda's, just my personal opinion. Enjoy which ever one you decide.
P.S. The Rootbeer looks Gorgeous in the flesh

I'm a real sucker for the two tone GMT, so that's my vote. But you really can't go wrong here.
