DateJust 41...too dressy for daily wear?

I have many watches, but my first Rolex. Always thought I would have a GMT or Sub first, and this was a Christmas gift, and I love it. It is a classic to me, even in 41mm. What do you all think as an everyday watch, though. It seems very dressy, and as I have my own office, and almost retired, it's jeans and t-shirts for me, lol. Cheers!

Yes, you can wear it every day.

It's a dope watch and looks good dressed up or down. Do your thing with confidence!

I think it’s to dressy. A Oyster bracelet would’ve given it more versatility. The Oyster gives it a casual/dressy appearance in my opinion.

Almost all Rolex pieces are very versatile. I used to wear my Datejust with hoodie and jeans.

I'm a sucker for the TT Jubilee bracelet though

You 100% can wear it casually, it actually works better that way.

I usually wear my Datejust 41 Fluted on Jubilee when I'm just wearing jeans and a T or even with sweatpants.

There is something elegant about wearing a nice "flashy" watch when you are dressed down and vice versa, when I am dressed up I go for a true dress watch - something on a strap.

The Datejust is the most versatile watch and my favorite of all time.

#1 Rule - do your thing and enjoy it!!

Congrats on the watch.

IMO, not too dressy. It can easily be worn casual or dressed up, I’d even rock a Day Date on the daily!! Own it

Not too dressy at all. That’s a watch that goes with anything.

very nice - I just ordered this watch for my dad exactly as you have it but with a white dial as he specified. I tricked him and told him I was gonna build him a "custom seiko" and sent him different pictures of datejust combinations and he picked out the bracelet and dial combinations =)

What color is your dial?

I saw the datejust in two tone gold and steel with silver dial and fluted bezel with oyster bracelet and I thought it was so classy and elegant..quite a stunner! If I wasn't waiting to buy my first Submariner, I would go for that datejust...just don't have unlimited funds lol

A Rolex in my opinion is the most versatile watch brand in existence. The date just is a sports watch for daily wear as well as a formal piece for weddings.

It’s a great combo and it’s popular for a reason ... you can wear it anywhere / anytime.

Enjoy it

That does look fantastic.

My view though - I have a SS DJ on Jubilee, and it too dressy for all scenarios.

Suit/smart casual - looks great.

For proper casual and outdoor type clothes, it just looks out of place because it is a dressy watch.

I have added a LV sub for this reason, before pandemic I wore a suit everyday, but have not been into the office since last March.
