Just enjoy it. After a lifetime of wear that will be one of many dings and each will tell a story or eventually you’ll forget and stop worrying. When someone looks at the pieces years after you’re gone they’ll say “This person actually wore their watch, I wonder what kind of adventures it went on...” little do they know this particular dent came from keys hahaha. But I wouldn’t worry. Just wear your watches. They’re meant to be worn and as good as they are to have looking brand new at a certain point you just have to enjoy life.

Most likely the Service centre. I doubt OP would give his new watch to be filled and polished to a non-authorized centre, which could compromise its finish/sharpness and warranty.

Looks good! It's like the damage only happened in your dreams.

I took it to a guy named Serge. Small little old office filled with Patek complications and Richard Milles. A family friend recommended him. Told me he was the best and only works on Patek & Richard Mille. I then went around 47th street asking about Serge. All I kept getting was “he won’t even talk to you, he deals with only the super high end watches and dealers not walk in customers. Bla bla.”
It took me about 2 weeks just to reach him. Saw the ding. Told me to come in 2-3 days he’ll laser fill the ding and vwalla.... i aggressively expressed not to polish and that I will see it.
Literally just filled up the ding. I saw his work and therefore was comfortable.
Cost me $275.

I know a guy just like that in our downtown jewelry district locally. Master of his craft and can laser weld/fix anything no matter the material. Not quite as "mysterious" as this Serge but I think people blow things out of proportion insisting Patek/OEM has to service the watch and gouge you/make you wait for however long they want.....there are plenty of qualified watchmakers and finishing guys even @ this level. I'm glad things turned out so awesome, continue enjoying this beautiful watch. One of my favorites!

I only felt comfortable because he’s a madman perfectionist lol. I respect that.
And I saw his work and pieces. He wouldn’t even deal with Rolex.

And thank you!

I wonder if the next time you send the piece to Patek for regular service they will know there was a laser fill at that spot. That is quite an extraordinary repair job and looks brand new!! Nice!!

The first hit is the hardest to forget. Sorry for your bad luck. What a fantastic job fixing the imperfection!

They are good, but I think you’d be nuts to have anyone other than Patek do the work. That said, I’d live with it until it’s service. If it really bothers you, just take comfort in the fact that one day it will be perfect again.

I can't believe they told you 70 weeks at Patek... do they only employ two part-time people that do all the service work as well as building new watches?

If this is your only stress consider yourself extremely lucky, at the same time

my condolences because I do understand how this could stress someone about something they cherish but it will pass as others have mentioned

The fix looks good! Though I'm really curious if Patek will be able to tell down the line.
