16700 Pepsi Bracelet Help

Hoping for some help. I have a 16700 Pepsi...papers are dated October 1993, and its on a jubilee bracelet stamped 'S' which I believe is 1994. I would like to buy a period oyster bracelet for the watch to have the option of both bracelets (as much as I love the jubilee look). So far I have not been able to source a 78790A/SEL oyster from 1994, but I have found an 'R' stamped 93150/SEL oyster which I think was an option with the 16700 reference.

Can anyone shed some light on whether this would be a fine match for the watch in terms of year/bracelet type or does my quest need to continue for 78790A?

Many thanks in advance

A 93150 bracelet was very common on the 16700.

The GMT 16700 in the early 1990s had 3 oyster options: i) 78360 with the classic clasp, ii) 78790 with "small" flip lock clasp (like the Explorer II), and iii) 93150 with "large" flip lock clasp (like the Sub). All are non-SEL.

The 78790A (A for SEL) was introduced towards the end of the 1990s/early 2000s, so you will never find a period correct SEL bracelet for your watch circa 1992-1993!

The 93150 R serial is perfect and period correct for your 16700. It is also non-SEL though... The SEL option was introduced around 2000 and the ref was changed to 93250.

Many thanks for your reply. Sorry for the confusion, the 93250 bracelet in question is indeed not SEL, but 501B end links. I guess on this basis I'm good to go. Thanks again.

My 96 GMT16700 is on a 78360 bracelet with 501 end links and a 93150 R clasp with dive extension. Must sat, works really well!
