Watch Collecting at an end

I received my Polar 16570 yesterday. It is in perfect condition and is a 2008 model with the 3186 movement.

After 12 years of searching (and saving up) I know have the 3 watches I have always wanted and need no more.

They should now cover me for all occasions.

I've always wanted 16570 and was close to pulling the trigger on a few (yes, all w/ 3186) these last couple of months. However, what kept holding me back was the clasp. I have a 16622 and the chintzy clasp just feels like crap.

How do you feel about the clasp compared with other ones that look like they both have the new clasp? Howbout on the wrist, and putting on/taking off?

I wish they'd bring back the smaller case size... the 42 is just too big for my wrist.

I personally don’t mind the clasp and it feels v secure. Yes not as good as modern ones but it has a charm about it. It would be great if it had an easy link but as long as you spend a bit of time fitting it properly it is exceptionally comfortable. Go for it you won’t regret it.

The good thing about the 16622 is that it was the first sports model with solid bracelet and end links. It’s easy to upgrade the feel.
I bought a modern easy link Oyster clasp from a DJ and fitted it. Totally different. Much easier to change a clasp than a watch.
In addition I sourced a solid Super jubilee bracelet with hidden clasp to spice it up a little.

Yes. Don’t like PCLs. Had it professionally done. Everything else original with all 3.

Looks good brushed. I prefer the brushed center link better than the polished. Congrats on your watches and enjoy.

If you don't mind, what was the cost to have it brushed?

Should be ok as not a fan of Divers or Chronographs! Pretty vanilla when it comes to watches.

I'd thought of that but didn't think it was possible... where did you get it from (the clasp)? I didn't Rolex would sell it to you? That would totally make me fall in love with it again!
