The forgotten DayDate no one remembers

This was the first DayDate40 to come out on 2015. Not many spoke on it and it seemed to have slowly disappeared as if it never existed.

I remember these because at the time I had a 2 tone 16233 Datejust with the vertical lined tapestry dial aka the American Psycho watch looking similar to this!

Gorgeous, I wish they would bring back tapestry dials - they look like a pinstriped suit, which is completely proper for the watch's mission.

It didn’t only come in rose gold..came in yellow, white and platinum. There were a few dial choices. This striped one. Plain dial and there was a crosshatch pattern one as well. Also the first time they came with the deconstructed Roman numerals. If you search Daydate40 ablogtowatch on YouTube you can see the video that was made at Basel when they were first released

My first DD was RG and loved the hue of warmth coming on as sunsets hit it.

I haven’t forgotten this one. It’s absolutely beautiful.

Why this variation or the YG silver dial motif was discontinued is a shame but that’s what keeps things interesting, I guess..

Aren't "forgotten" and "no one remembers" the same thing?

I habe to agree with that. Really never appealed to me, the bezel makes everything else look out of sync
