Can you please address the shark in the pool?

Love the watch.

But super intrigued about the apparent shark you've got.

It's a plane in the sky reflecting in the pool. ;)

Would it be possible to know if this AD received the new Air King? I would have been curious to know more. :)

i think the OP is doctor evil, instead of requesting a ransom of "one million dollars" he requested the first daytona ceramic.

the thing in the pool is a shark with a fricken lazer beam on its head.

Congrats!
Great looking watch, much better IMO than the steel bezel versions.

Wonder why, though, Rolex didn't take the opportunity to make the lugs the same size/shape, to be more symmetric, as they do on the PM Daytonas.

I disliked the old version of the Daytona because of its silver bezel and loved this new version because of its contrasting black bezel. I hope what I'm seeing isn't accurate, I hope that it's not only deep black at particular angles.
Yeah, the black bezels do that. Look grey at certain angles.

ok ok, unfortunately the shark is not real. It is a shark though not a plane. Its a mosaic tile shark about 6 feet long we put in when we built the pool. It has a shadow under it making it look pretty lifelike. I saw it in a magazine and had no have it. Glad yall like it.... Also, In the Movie "Any Given Sunday" there is one in a part of the movie.

The insight of the day is that one must first purchase a shark from the AD to have a shot at being #1 on the list =)

Huge congrats OP!

Two guys walk into a Rolex AD...

So, two guys walk into a Rolex AD to buy a Daytona C 116500...

Guy #1 says to sales assistant...
"Dear Sir, I have been a Rolex aficionado since I was 8 years of age when my grandfather gifted me my first 1680 Submariner. I have studied horology and written a Biography on Hans Wilsdorf. My current collection covers every significant model in the Rolex catalogue over the last 50 years.

Guy #2 says...
"I have a shark in my pool..."

Now there's the Panda!

Relieved the ceramic bezel looks deep black in real-world lighting conditions.

Thanks for the angle shots.

Lord Daith o'Nagh you mean? Known for feeding the sharks in his pool with swiss-bred pandas

That would be the one to have. Drooling over here...

Perhaps that is why they only changed the rings on the SS model.

Would have to have both. :D

Great pic, Rick, with an absolutely perfect angle and perspective. Your new Daytona C is a phenomenal looking watch. I hope it brings you much watch-wearing enjoyment and satisfaction.

I can't wait to join the club. When my Sales Associate (along with the store manager of my Rolex AD) were in attendance at this year's Baselworld show, I asked him to reserve a white-dial model for me. He replied that I'm at the top of the list, so I can't wait to get the call.

Again, that is a beautiful Daytona, Rick. I love the fact that the whole motorsports vibe of the watch has been enhanced with the ceramic bezel. I hope you enjoy it to the fullest!

Regards, -Rick.
