Rolex 2030 regulator screw
I have an elementary question for many of you.
I purchased a "cheap" 2035 date just ladies watch. It was very dirty. I cleaned/oiled it. I am an amateur hobbyist, but have cleaned many watches. This one is running great, just about 10 seconds per day slow. The question is on the regulator and associated multi-pointed (starred?) screw head. What tool is required for that? I believe this watch has a somewhat standard regulator. I don't believe the special Rolex tool is required for this one...is that correct? |

You need one of these...But, the screw will micro adjust it. Although, I have noticed on a lot of these, the regulator arm tends to be very loose, so be careful when moving manually.

Thanks for the reply.
I don't believe the balance has any screws on it and the regulator has ruby index jewels. I, therefore, believed this watch is regulated in much the same way as other watches. Of course, that being said, I don't see how turning this star-headed screw towards the + or - moves the index I apologize for the newbie questions and I understand that I am, in no way, set up to properly regulate the watch....I'm just trying to understand how it works. |
