Pearl earrings - where to buy?

Planning to pick up a set of classic style pearl earrings for my wife. What's a good/trusted brand or store? Google directed me to Mikimoto, Tiffany's, Pearl Paradise (online store). Anyone has anything good/bad to say about these stores?

I got my girlfriend some Mikimoto's last year, they looks amazing the luster and color are incredible compared to fresh water pearls.

Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you see it) it isn't a piece I'm after. Salesperson said they just got it in last night.
