Which UK AD’s dont keep warranty cards

Hi

I have just spoken to some ad’s about a sub no date and each advised they would take off stickers (fine) and keep the card. I have no intention of selling but dont like the idea of spending so much and not getting the full watch and risking ad’s or me forgetting to collect in 12 months as i work abroad also

I asked one if they give a contract clearly stipulating they will send out in 12 months as i would be happy with this and have peace of mind. They stated no! So theres a risk of it being loss etc

Are there any ad’s who dont keep cards in uk or can i put my name abroad at an ad who doesnt keep cards?

Thanks

It’s common policy now. The chance of the card being lost is virtually nil. Let them keep the card, and walk back in 12 months later to collect it.

Most ADs will ask you to sign some sort of contract

Either way go for it

Recently purchased a sub and today picked up a Daytona 116519. Stickers were removed from sub and left on the Daytona. Got both guarantee cards.

Steel sub and they gave the card? What AD was that? Some still not keeping the cards so it seems. Doesn’t bother me either way tbh.

I dont understand ...who gives them the right to peel YOUR stickers and keep YOUR warrantee card ? The sale was made,it is not their property anymore.

Pre purchase requirement in the UK at ADs. Customer that doesn't agree, does not get to purchase a Rolex watch from the ADs that do this. I think I've read a contract of some kind is signed by buyer before sale.

The guarantee nonsense is driven by Watches of Switzerland Group (formerly Aurum). Avoid them, behave yourself and you'll be able to take your card and fully stickered watch away with you.

Picked up my BLNR 3 weeks ago with all stickers, warranty card and transport coffin box. Really pleased and they never even mentioned it, let alone made a big deal out of it.

I don't get it, what's more important...getting the watch or not getting the warranty card?

Think some forum members have got their priorities wrong.

thanks good to hear this practice isnt everywhere! i am in no rush so can select where to buy it from. Avoid all the big ones like WoS and Goldsmiths, find them to be the most difficult and selective, prefer smaller AD's
