Easy pass for me, although the GMT LN and the SMP are nice watches the SD43 is one of those pieces that could easily go down as a classic and is one of my favorite Rolex releases of all time.

If it is what you want then go for it. The SD43 can be replaced if you don't like your new watches.

Personally I wouldn't do the trade because I find the SD43 more special than the other two and I'm not a fan of the SMP. Value wise not a bad deal though.

What was so cool about the SD was it was different from the rest of the Rolex line up, but Rolex threw away that history, inflated it and slapped a cyclops on it, now it’s just a big sub for the masses. Sad.

Depends on whether or not you aren't a fan of how the SD43 wears (high on the wrist). I wear a Subc for the lower profile, and the GMT will be similar. If that is the case then you make the swap and have a nice rotation piece to boot. If you like the way the SD43 wears, then absolutely not.

The LN is a fabulous watch and dare I say, a lot more useful than the SD43 unless you are planning an unsurvivable dive into the ocean depths anytime soon?
The Omega.....does nothing for me. (Before I get flamed, I own 5 Omegas and I’m not a Rolex snob).
Why not just keep the SD and add the GMT?

Maybe I’ll just keep the SD43 and add the new BLNR when it comes out!

No for me, but mostly because I like my 43 too much to do it.

I would do it. Two great watches, plus I think the cyclops ruined the current SD. The omega has had nothing but high praise from people who have gotten their hands on one, and the GMT is has always been a solid choice.

Maybe in the minority, but you’re not alone. Have always liked the GMT II, and I’m also a fan of Omega, the 300 Diver is a great watch.
