Would you? SD43 for GMT LN & Omega SMP300
Like title says. Would you replace a SD43 with a GMT LN and the new Omega SMP 300 in blue dial?
Most likely would entail two transactions so let’s not focus on the value of the exchange but rather would you be happy with those 2 vs 1? |

The Omega doesn’t interest me at all, so I will focus on the 2 Rolex. I like both, but I prefer SD if your only watch

I'd keep the SD43 by a slight margin.

I have no love for the new Omega SMP, so with only these options in mind, I would vote no. If you were talking the Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial in titanium with blue dial along with the GMT LN, then I'd at least have to give it some serious thought, although even then it would be a tough call.

I'm probably in the minority on here but I would much rather have those two than the Sea-Dweller 43. A quality GMT and a quality diver beats a quality diver in my book.

Not for me, but I’m a huge fan of a SD and not a big fan of Omega.

No way. I love the GMT LN and Omega, but the SD43 cannot be replaced by those two. I would be enticed by the other direction of trade, give up the LN and Omega for a SD43.

Same here. Not a fan of the SD43. Love the GMT and new SMP. I would do the trade in a blink!

That Omega doesn't do it for me.
I'd stick with the SD. |

Go for the gmt plus cash instead of the omega if that’s an option.

If the SD43 fits you well, I would definitely keep it and not make that trade.

I'd personally very much regret later on if I did not do the deal (being in your place now).
Omega watches are very, very well made timepieces and offer fantastic timekeeping. Provided you will wear the SMP diver and also like the Rolex GMT complication, you have a great two-watch combo there. The new SMP is an exceptionally well thought-out and executed watch, in which Omega ironed out any imperfections the last generation of this model had. If on the other hand you are happy and content with what you have at the moment (SD43), no reason to move forward for any sort of 'deal'.
