777X Boeing Intro: high tech wings, and ...

....futuristic travel luxury.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/travel/7966...illion-inside/

"After it is finished the 777X will have the largest wingspan of any Boeing aircraft in the companies nearly century long history of 235ft five inches.

The wings give the jet extra lift, just like in a giant sailplane glider, helping the plane to save 12% more fuel than the Airbus A350, according to Boeing.

The fuselage is made of aluminium, like most commercial aeroplanes, but the wings are made of super-strong, carbon fibre, helping the jet save fuel.

These high tech wings have so far proved capable of flexing by 26-feet during testing."

Hi Travelair007: Yes sir. I understand completely. Thanks for adding your comment.

I miss the "pilot" stories, truly inspiring and awesome to me. I feel very connected to aviation because of all the situations he encountered and for 30 years delivered his passengers safely to their destinations.

Hello Laszlo:

Engine was tested in CA, OH, Winnipeg.
Your little junior buddy will probably enjoy hearing about the CA 'connection'! I bet, if there was ever a possibility to tour any aviation facility, he would love that. Probably not a reality, but a nice dream for him.

I wonder if they will install the new meat hook passenger restraint system so that they can eliminate seats and get four times as many passengers into coach.

Little fun memory in my life, unrelated to Boeing, I worked on the first 4 A380s to be produced... +15years ago? I don’t remember exactly.

I sat and had lunch in the cockpit of MSN0001 as it was still a shell/frame. I missed the first flight as I was on travel dealing with business issues and ended up leaving this industry before I could see it fly.

I got to see the A380 fly about a decade later, where I was a passenger on it, headed to Asia!
