When was the nautilus clasp updated

Sorry if this has been discussed already. Does anyone know when Patek updated the nautilus clasp? 2021? I think it’s much easier to operate compared to the previous gen.

Early 2021 for the 5990 and 5980. I don’t believe that the models with thinner bracelets were touched.

The 2021 5990/1a has a twin-trigger deployant now I believe.

Why not ask Patek directly?

2021. My 5990/1A came with the new clasp in may, but several 5990/1A on C24 listed as 2020 and 2021 seem to have the old one.

I have pieces with both clasps and don't have a favourite, the old style is thinner but not as easy, new style is thicker but easier.

Actually have no problem with the traditional friction fit clasp.
I feel like it is very sturdy and reliable as well as low profile.

Certainly not as elegant to open and close as the newer version but it provides exceptional confidence that it is not going to fail.
