Mm, not so sure.

I like the bracelet too much, think the the rebel in me would only go so far as black leather, now there's a thought, anyone got any photos with a Sub on black leather?

I never cared for anything besides the bracelet , but some of these look great. I think I need to order a strap for my SD.

If I get a watch from a dealer, I'll bring a strap so they can put it on it right away. I am not sure why people are so caught up in these bracelets. I have tried many watches and so far I have not found one with a comfortable bracelet. Straps all the way. Especially for watches in action :)

Do those straps scuff the back of the watch from rubbing?

Yes, but since the back of the sub is so clean, it can easily be buffed out. It's far worse with Speedmasters, Seamasters, etc. - their engravings are permantly damaged.

How do nylon straps scruff the back of the watch?

I've never noticed ant scuffs on my caseback from the NATO strap.

I think that the nylon is a bit "harder" than most expect. So it is actually able to make very light scratches - kind of a brushed surface to the metal. But again - it's nothing than can't be polished out easily.
I have heard of numerous Speedmaster owners who have experienced these scratches (it appears that Speedy owners, more than often, wear their Speedy on a nato, as a NASA/astronaut homage )

This one came without a bracelet, so while I wait for a good one to show, (think I need a 9315) this military on seems to do a good job, and at only $16.00 US, is pretty good value.

I have my Breitling Emergency on a rubber diving strap and not the big SS one it came with. It looks great. I just couldn't imagine putting my Rolexes on a non-Rolex strap.

On most of the straps of this type, the strap is actually "threaded" through the spring bars and the caseback of the watch rides on the nylon strap. See the link below (add http://www.)

The watch is very light and comfortable to wear with the nato-strap, and it is very easy to change the look of the watch by changing from SS oyster to nato. I have 2 straps, Bond and a grey one. Might add a green one later on...
