Here is a point of view from the other side, perhaps it will help you.
Try to own both if you like them both. But we all know this is not always possible. Now I just got the BLRO that I have been waiting for a long time. I also like CHNR very much, but not equally. If you offered to trade your CHNR with my BLRO in a direct trade, I would say no, thank you, I will pass. So if you are tilting towards BLRO, and can’t pull off owning both, I say go for it. Own what you enjoy the most. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

it’s a no brainer, BLRO is the only GMT worth to have

Since you are asking the question then you have doubts and i think in which case if you trade you will in time regret letting the CHNR go - if it was a no brainer to you, then you would have done the deal and then mentioned it here...so my vote would be dont do it...but ultimately only you know what you want...

I wouldn't do it. To me the CHNR is the perfect GMT and I think it looks better than the BLRO. This is obviously totally subjective. I'm curious what made you change your mind so quickly though? You waited a year for the CHNR and already want to get rid of it?

Although the MSRP for BLRO is significantly lower than CHNR, the current market rate reflects that they are about the same price.
Personally I would prefer to add on the BLRO as I think that the CHNR is just a gorgeous and elegant watch, while the BLRO is more hip and vibrant. They compliment each other pretty well I think. But if budget is an issue, me personally I would do the trade, as I know the BLRO suits me better and will get significantly more wrist time. Also me having no AD relationships, I know I will never ever get the BLRO in list price. |

Ultimately, it boils down to which looks better on your wrist.
For me, it was the BLRO, so although the CHNR is a magnificent watch, I passed on it as it doesn't quite match my skin tone. |

I had a BLRO with my CHNR and sold the BLRO as it didn’t get much wrist time anymore. The CHNR is just on another level.

Whichever makes you happier. Nothing else should matter.
Personally.... I’d never do it. The CHNR has loads more wrist presence, is far more elegant, spans casual and more dressy attire and is rare in the wild.

Do it if the BLRO is what you want! I would do the same myself!

Hell no, even my wife goes wow when she sees the root beer. The purple red ceramic pepsi color rolex are doling out to people is simply drab and dull. The last pepsi colors to truly pop were the 16710 series. Also jubilee bracelet is for sassy safe queen watches and DJs. A good sports watch always looks best on an oyster.

100%! You can always buy the Root beer again, much easier to get. My AD offered me one 2 weeks ago and turned it down and he said I can have the next one coming in if I want in a couple of months.

If you were able to get the CHNR from an AD you should be able to eventually get a BLRO.

Thank you all for all of your comments and advices. I followed my heart , I loved the rootbeer but the reason I picked it up and waited for a year was originally because there was no way I can get on a waiting list for BLRO , when I picked up my CHNR I asked if I can get BLRO in the future but the answer was “difficult”
I know that I paid over retail which is the first time for me , but realistically speaking the gray market price is the the actual price unless you bought many other watches and somehow you have a great AD. At last I still think I got a good deal by paying less than what they are sold for. Long story short here are the pics :) lovely watch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congrats! It looks great. The CHNR is my favorite Rolex and I had one (and wore it almost daily) for a year. When covid hit I went a few months without wearing it and then sold it when my AD called with a BLNR. The CHNR is awesome but a bit too fancy for my new reality.
