21 or so, new Datejust in 2002. Kept it all these years and just recently traded it in. Served me well for almost 15 years!

20 for my 21st birthday in 1987. Sub 16613! Worked hard to save for that watch and I really cherished it.

I was barely 30 and on my honeymoon. I went with a Sub no date - 114060. I am still 30 and already added a DJII.

At the time of my 65th birthday last year to mark that transition classic DJ 16233. Before that my only "good" watch was a Tudor BBB. Looking at this thread, it's clear that I'm an anomaly in waiting so long. Sad that I lost so much time.

My First and only Rolex is My Sub Date Ceramic that i purchased December 2016 at 37.
First Swiss watch purchase however I was 21 and purchased Omega Seamaster that I still own. Between then and now there has been many Omega's, Breitling, Panerai, Seiko, Squale bought and sold but finally decided after all these dive watches i have to own the daddy at some point.

Age: 41 in 1993 brand new from AD
Model: 16233 SS and YG DJ, fluted bezel, Jubilee bracelet

A few weeks later went back to the AD and traded it for a DayDate. After a few years I began to regret not keeping the DJ (in addition to the DD) because the hour sticks were faceted in such a way I have never seen again since.

I would venture to guess that many of us "younger" Rolex owners were influenced by our fathers and grandfathers. therefore, it was the natural choice when I could afford it. I don't even recall discussing it with anyone else....."why wouldn't I buy one?" anyone else think that also?
