Trade CHNR for BLRO opinion

I know that this may have been discussed before , I was offered a trade my CHNR for BLRO ? Shall I go for it ? I love both but I think the pepsi would be worn more than the rootbeer considering the different nature of those two nice pieces ?

You waited a full year to get the CHNR... I would not do this trade. Try to add the BLRO instead if you really want it.

I think you wanted to say CHNR for BLRO(Pepsi), right?

Whatever to like the most, go for it.

Even trade CHNR for BLRO? I would say no as BLRO is worth less based on MSRP prices but if that is not important and you feel the BLRO would be better for you then would do it

Your life, your watch, your choice. Personally I would aim to own both of them. Which is what I am planning to do. I have a TT CHNR and the SS BLRO will compliment it beautifully. I'm just waiting to get to the top of a long AD list.

If I could only have one I would have the TT CHNR. It's got so much more depth to its colours and lustre than the SS BLRO, which is but a bit 2D in comparison. Not that I don't adore the BLRO and love it for what it is. It's just not the one I would chose if I could own both.

But as stated, it's entirely up to you. I can't tell you what you like best. Although I can tell you that it's a rather wonderful dilemma to be pondering. You can't lose.

No reason for any trade just wear your CHNR more. Assuming you got the watch at the AD then you are essentially paying 15k for Pepsi..i wouldn't do that.

Not a fan of TT, so may have done the trade. Especially if I don't wear the CHNR anymore

Sell the CHNR. I’m not sure I’d need or want two GMTs in a small collection

You wouldn't buy a $20k watch for $15k? Like it or not, the market prices are the effectual value of a watch. The trade is even, if not lopsided to the Pepsi, with stronger growth expected for the latter long-term.

If OP wants a Pepsi, I think it is a good and fair trade.

Once you walk out the AD, the Pepsi is valued more than the CHNR, so you are coming out ahead there. Unless you have a chance to get it from your AD in the near future, I’d gladly take the trade.

its like trading 2 $5 bills for a 1 $10 bill...most of us don't see the point but if you strongly prefer the $10 bill why not.

Historically general value of TT < SS, so go for it if you like the BLRO

No way, CHNR is the superior watch. Don't get caught up on the hype train.

I am guessing you own a TT 126711 CHNR not a RG 126715 CHNR. I guess the trade would be about even on the secondary market valuations. The steel watch obviously fetching way more over MSRP than the TT. If you want the steel watch then go for it. As mentioned , the steel watch may get more wrist time.

If it were me, I’d trade the TT CHNR for the full RG version then I wouldn’t care about the blro or any other gmt.

But here, I’d make that trade.
