Popping to london

Thinking of going to London on Wednesday to browse. Plus thought I might pop into St James and get a jubilee bracelet for my DJ.

Good idea for the bracelet or not?

Good idea - you bet.

Thats a beauty of a DJ. A DJ - particularly one with a fluted bezel - looks fantastic on a Jubillee.

I prefer the oyster bracelet, but do what you want. The DJ looks really good BTW.

I like the Jubilee bracelet on the DJ. I believe that was the original bracelet offered (?). Also it seems to "sparkle" more. The Oyster bracelet seems sportier; which is fine if that's the look you're going after. I really like the YMs for the big sports watch look.

Jon...2 things.

1. Bring a lot of money.
2. Will they sell it to you directly? Do you not have to go through an AD?

Spoken to St James's they have it in stock and I can walk in, they will supply and fit there and then. Cost inc VAT is £330

Save your money Jon, & put it toward another Rolex, or possibly consider a Tudor.

I would give it a go as I think the Jubilee is an attractive bracelet. I have done all the same research to get my GMT done with the same bracelet but with different end links.
Cost wise if you like the Jubilee you could always sell the oyster bracelet to regain some if not all of the cash.
Please let us know how you got on. I am really interested in the quality of service you get on the day and if they do an immaculate job with no scratches etc to your watch.

Excellent, didn't know if they'd want you to go through an AD, but obviously not, and that's even a sensible price (compared to a Daytona clasp!!)

That's a SS machined bezel, not fluted gold. I had the same exact watch. With this bezel, I vote to keep it on the oyster bracelet.
