Issue with TRF Member Asteron

Hello,

I purchased a Rolex Explorer II 226570 from member Asteron on Wednesday January 10. On Thursday January 11, Asteron sent me a label image for USPS Priority Delivery and commented that delivery was expected by Wednesday January 17th. Ever since the shipment date, I have noticed that the tracking number did not update from "label created, not yet in system." Asteron told me not to worry as the post office informed him they were having trouble with the system and the package should arrive as expected. Later in the week, Asteron forwarded me an email he received from USPS which was an apology for the shipping delay due to weather. This email noted an expected delivery date of Friday January 19th. I have yet to receive the package, the tracking has not updated, and user Asteron has abruptly stopped responding to PMs, emails, and text messages for several days.

Other info:
- I wired money directly to Asteron's bank account.
- I checked two TRF references before sending payment.
- I requested a timestamp image of the watch.

I don't think there is much that can be done at this point. I have the option to file a police report and contact the banks, which I intend to do on Monday January 22nd. If anyone has any advice or questions please let me know!

I am too new to TRF to post links, otherwise I would post the classified listings. However, both listings are still up at this time and can be quickly searched for.

Thanks for reading,
Ted

The two of you may want to contact @ebxchange and find out where he shipped the watch that he sold to Asteron. It may help with your police report.

Hopefully, you both get the watches or your money back. It is getting to the point where it is just not wise to deal with an unknown private seller. Too many great dealers out there to run any risk with an unknown party.
