Home made Clam Chowder with home made croutons. Turned out great.

For Christmas dinner, we ate at La Yeon, Shilla Hotel, Seoul

Arguably, this is some of the world's best Korean food

The roast cooked a little more than I liked in only two hours but the grade of meat kept it still pleasant to eat.

out of the oven...

bones removed and waiting to be carved...

end cap showing well done and center cut showing medium...

Our annual Christmas Eve duck dinner.. Compliments of my Mrs..
..Started with the traditional Risengrød, (Danish Rice Pudding).. browned potatoes, red cabbage and of course gravy..- Damn good..!!
She had a nice Hardy's Riesling/Gewurztraminer and I had a Pinot Noir..

Had a WONDERFUL dinner at Jerome Ferrer's Europea with my bride. The tasting menu was SPECTACULAR -- and too good not to share!!! Lobster bisque 'cappuccino', red beet risotto, lemon and caviar - calamari 'spaghetti', fois gras, Cornish hen, sea bass, and a braised beef 'sundae' amongst some other treats -- what a great time.

The wine pairings (all selected by the Sommelier - dish by dish) included a lovely Grand Cru Chablis as well as a Puligny Montrachet, a 97 Chateau d'Yquem a nice Barolo (which I thought was an interesting selection from the Sommolier, but quite nice - and finished with 06 Dom Perignon

Anyone traveling to Montreal, I highly recommend.
