A lot of their asking prices on used Rolex is rather horrifying. I wouldn't be surprised if this one didn't have box and papers either!

Recently I saw a used 16700 or 16710 that was polished to death and no box or papers. Their asking price was like $12.5k for that watch.

Beginning to think that the Batman is nicer than the Pepsi. I’m on the list for both to accompany my LN GMT.

The PCL doesn't look too clever either. We can only imagine the clasp.

The lugs by 10:30 and 1:30 are rounded down. They should be very sharp angles (maybe 91-95 degrees.. they aren’t prefect right angles) the watch in your picture has been decimated by a polishing machine. I never write things like this because it always seems so arbitrary, but for 18 thousand dollars, that thing better be perfect.

If anyone is willing to pay that kind of dough, just walk a few blocks to 46th St and 6th Ave. You can have your choice of "hard to get" Rolexs in the box and usually New.

I would never pay that amount for a Batman.

If someone is interested in paying 18k i can get a truckload of those. I’ll scoop them up for 15-16k and sell them at 18k all day long. Asking and getting are very different. There won’t be a line out the door to pay 18k for that.

Would you believe I acquired mine for just over US$8200 brand new at an AD in Sydney after it was discontinued? Acquired it after being on the waiting list for a year.

Literally one of the last from the production line.

Love the watch too.

Will the discontinued LN ever catch up with a new BLRO/BLNR on the grey market ?

I don’t think so. Maybe the old Batman will but not the LN.
