I think I would have to go with the Patek...just a timeless perfection!! It's on the edge of sporty yet elegant.

I would take the Patek all day long. As for moevements--they are not alike. One is a Lemania and one is an in house movement made by A Lange & Sohne. The 5070 is a much rarer watch and PP is still the king of watches! As much as I love Lange--the Patek is my choice!

Dato by a mile

The Patek is beautiful and rare. However, the Datograph is, in my opinion, more beautiful and has the in-house movement.

I like the Patek, but would prefer the more subtle look of it in white gold. I agree that the Lange has a wonderful movement, and the forum members might feel differently if you posted the one with the white dial. The blue dial is a bit too busy for my taste.

Datograph for me without hesitation.....

Patek just looks a little dated and old fashioned for my tastes whereas the ALS has something quite contemporary about it even if a similar style.

As much I like Patek Philippe.

In this case the Datograph would be my choice.

The movement imo is the best in the business, I could wear this watch upside down, just to see the movement.

How could you!? You were my hero and my mentor! I feel betrayed!

I'm choosing the Patek, it looks nicer to me and I always had a thing for yellow gold.

Lang, the Patek missed the mark by placing the sub dials where they did. Not really liking how the 2-4-10-8 numbers are chopped. Love the second hand detail on the Lang and that the dial includes a date window. Mixed emotions about the lume on the hands, sporty?

There are many posts on the Forum where the finish on a Rolex movement has been deemed not to be worthy of a clear caseback but IMO the Patek movement on this model is about the same quality.
Pretty average finish for the $$'s.

The L & S movement on the other hand looks upmarket.
