I'll have to settle for my THC and my Eastman E20SS. I'm a beginner, so it fits my needs quite well.

A watch will be too small in the pic. So it's just guitars instead

Here's my latest Bluesy with my 2010, Eric Clapton "Beano" Les Paul.
The guitar is unplayed and the last of my collection, having sold everything else. A back injury means I cannot play anymore

The guitar is for sale if anyone is interested, I will of course part ex for a Rolex.

Sorry about the back injury man, can you not get one of those stands that are chest height when you are standing, have seen classical guys do this.

I can't stand for any length of time even without the guitar, even sitting with a guitar on my lap causes problems.

What price range were you thinking of for the BEANO?

How crazy is this? I'm a grown man who can't wait to go home and send pictures of my guitars to my "watch friends" (as my wife refers to you all). Seriously though, not sure how I missed this thread but I will definitely share some pics!

My Dad was not a watch guy but this was his one and only Fender Strat bought at Phillips Music Co, Boyle Heights CA in 1961. Always thought it was a '57 till we took it to Norms Rare Guitars and found out it was a '58. Norm gave me a very fair price that could have bought a few watches, but it was not for sale.
Great thread. Love the pics!!

David,
If that was a 1950's Strat it would have a "spaghetti" Fender logo. Was the neck replaced? Or was it refinished and the logo replaced with a later version?

No watch in this one, but when it comes to guitars I am brand loyal to Collings and this year received my latest custom build - a deep bodied OM2 with hand selected woods. Baked Sitka top, perfectly quartersewn (very dark) rosewood, and most of the options from their traditional series. Sounds unreal.

Very sad to have lost Bill Collings last week.

Good eye, yes the logo was replaced by fender (I think in the 70's) cause my Dad smoked and used to keep the cig there while playing and it had burn marks. I wish the marks and logo was in tact.

Yeah, the headstock shape certainly looked like a 50's. It would be nice to have the original patina and logo intact but the most important thing is that you own and cherish your dad's guitar (and cool Fender blackface Super Reverb).
