Owning both, I'd go for the Daytona all day long.

Disagree - Pepsi is fare superior in terms of legibility, dual time zone complication, and lower price. I cannot think if a two reasons for the Daytona. The one reason I CAN think is the chrono (if you need it), but no one uses that function. My principle disagreement with your statement though is because while yes, the GMT is $7k markup in terms of current market value over retail, but the Daytona has a similar markup. Flipping either piece will gain you around $7k, so why did you say “only due to market conditions” when both have the same exact markup? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Not even a debate as far as I am concerned. I’ll take 3-4 daytona variations in a row before I’d consider a modern GMT. 5 dig GMTs are a different story. To each their own.

Daytona. For me it would not even take more than a few seconds to decide.

Well if you're looking to pay retail - the answer is simple. You go for the one you are able to get. I was able to get a Pepsi at retail (and a Hulk for that matter). I've done a lot of business with my ADs and they treat me well. That said - I've not yet been able to pull off a steel Daytona.

Any GMT over a Daytona all day long. Easier to tell the time, multiple time zones and it shows the date. It’s a no brainer.

Daytona and a blnr because I like the blue black more anyway. Easy.

BLRO if I had to choose... And this coming from someone that has a white DaytonaC and BLNR. While I like my DaytonaC, the GMT is far more "useable" for me. I use the Multi-timezone function all the time. I rarely use the chrono on the Daytona and 1/2 the times I time the most random things.

Solely on the basis of necessity, I chose the BLRO. Plus it's a bit more interesting.

I’ve never cared for the aesthetic of sub dials. While a chrono function is cute, I don’t see any real world applications. Plus, I never know the date, so...

You can only have one: Pepsi GMT vs DayC
If you want to be able to read the time, get the GMT. If you want everyone to drool, and not be able to read the time (least legible dial in Rolex lineup), get the Daytona.
That said, I have the BLRO, and still want a Daytona white dial 500 My actual preference outside if this group is the D-Blue. More legible with arguably the best dial in the lineup! Here they are together: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

GMT. I can always add a Speedy or El Primero down the line.
If I go Daytona, the remaining GMT options aren’t as attractive to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
