I get more complements on this watch with this strap than any other watch I own. The rallye strap is a really cool accessory

I will echo many others, go with the Speedy this time! I have mostly Rolex in my collection but recently added a Speedy into the collection again and absolutely love it. Just something about a Speedy.

Excellent way to think of it..I’ve just had Rolex for so long I’m itching for a change....

So since I’ve always been in rolexes, to all you speedy owners and (ENABLERS) how much do you get your speedy wet? I see stories all over the place I know omega says 50m but like I said I’m used to rolexes being “waterproof”
You swim shower wash cars and the likes or no?

Well, if you want a Speedy, you want the history and heritage behind it's greatness.

Don't get a "Limited Edition"... Don't let the AD over sell you a special watch.

Go for the basic, steel back and hesalite. A watch for a lifetime this.

I vote datejust. I own a -69 speedmaster as well as a 116234 (owned multiple DJs over the years...).

Check out trusted sellers on the omega forum. You can get a brand new speedmaster moonwatch hesalite for around 4K. FOIS a bit less. Beautiful watches.

Speedy pro hesalite all day long. In another 50 years people will still be wearing that watch.

Love the manual wind too.

I bought my SP new about 15 years ago. My 2 cents: every watch aficionado should own one.

There are a few watches apart from Rolex that I would like. The Omega "MAN ON THE MOOOON"! is one of them. The other watches I like are Grand Seiko and Citizen Chronomaster. I feel the Chronomaster deserves a great deal more attention than it gets, it is very cool and technically excellent.

I've worn my speedy swimming and shower no problem. Just don't push buttons or move crown when wet. It is 50m water resist. Don't dive or do extreme water sports.

Glad to hear. I read from another member that his got fogged up and watch stop working for a bit. Once it dried up it started working. He must have pushed the buttons when under water?!
