Milguass yes or no?

I had a DJIi white dial and it was stolen a couple years ago. I am hoping one day it gets to Rolex USA for service as they know it was stolen and I’ll get it back. I have been thinking of getting one again but have also been looking at the white dial Milgauss. They are similar for the most part, I know the milgauss is a little thicker, no date. Any chance the milguass goes up in value since it was discontinued? Any thoughts on the Milgauss? Love to see any pics.

Huge fan of the classic Ref 1019, not so much on the modern one. Air King would be more appealing and at a better price point, but not in white.

I know it was not popular, but for some reason I always liked it. Being discontinued also makes it even more interesting to me.

I wouldn't worry about it being popular/not or worry about value. If you like it only matters.

I own a black dial and really enjoy it. It has a nice heft to it and looks terrific.

I don’t mind the heft, actually like it that way. It will be heftier than my DJII.

You should have what you like. I would buy a MG over the OP because it's so quirky and a bit bigger. But if it was a DJ I wanted, then a DJ it would be.

Milgauss is discontinued?

Put that aside...what you get with a Milgauss is a sportier feeling and looking watch. The fact that you'll see fewer of them in the wild than a DJ variant, is a plus.

I prefer the blue dial but the white one is a lot easier to match with different straps. White dial looks great with orange or white rubber.... Am yet to find a strap the goes with the z-blue.

The white and black dial clear crystal versions were discontinued

I have to agree with this statement. If you are looking for a white dial DJII, then that is what you should get. Although similar, the Milgauss really only appeals to enthusiasts who tend to have quirky tastes. Are you willing to risk spending more money on the Milgauss only to be put off by differing dimensions, a very prominent lightning bolt seconds hand, and distinctive orange highlights?

My hope is I get my DJII back someday if it gets sent on for service. The discontinued aspect is intriguing although I do not think it will make it rise in price like my 116710 GMTIIc did

It won't. I love this watch but I would not buy a milgauss if it's meant to be my one GADA watch.

Not sure. I may try and get to a local dealer to see one and try it on. The white dial Milgauss I found is a 2007 model for $5950

Really wanted to like the MG, but in the end couldn't fall in love with the conical bezel. I love everything else about it - green glass, lightning bolt, etc.

All Milgausses are cool. I've always thought the white was the coolest one. Of all the watches I've owned, I think it's the watch I stared at the most. The orange lighting bolt on a crisp white dial is just killer.

There's just something cool about rocking a Rolex you will rarely if ever see in the wild.

I highly recommend picking one up. Just a cool watch.

Thanks. Would you say $5950 shipped for a 2007 no box or papers is a good deal? I know the dealer and they are trusted.

I wear my white dial Milgauss on a black and orange Rubber B (the full orange I had ordered initially I found a bit too much) and it is without doubt the coolest piece I have! As part of a collection, a great watch to have.

It's possibly the favorite in my collection. It always makes me smile the most when it comes around in the watch rotation.

Its hard to not stare at this one. Its different than “normal looking” sports rolex. Makes it cool imo

I thinks the white dial is by far the best of the modern Milgauss.
